FairyTale Invitation

Bec wanted something to reflect a fairytale wedding, with softness, sparkle and a touch of purple.  Here I’ve used a Cuttlebug embossing folder from the Happily Ever after/night at the ball set.   The paper I’ve used  is Cryogen White which is an pearlescent, iridescent metallic paper from i paper.  Although hard (click on the photo to get a closer look) to see this paper has thousands of little glittery particles which creates a magical feel to this invitation. The simple organza ribbon adds a soft finishing touch.  The quote I’ve used is one of my favourites using the fonts “Invitation” and “Some Weatz Swashes”.  My friend Sylvia a photographer (www.flickr.com/photos/sylviaaustin1) was kind enough to take this photo as my little camera just didn’t do justice!

I was commissioned by a Wedding planner to make some samples for her. I really enjoyed working with the lovely colours and beautiful fonts.  These invitations really are a luxury item

More than just a piece of paper!

I love receiving Invitations in the mail.  It’s exciting to open a beautiful envelope in anticipation of what is to come. Invitations set the theme of a Wedding and gives the guest a sneak peek of what to expect at the wedding.

The font, paper and wording are used to portray the theme of the event. Casual, Formal, Romantic, Classic, Destination?   All of this can be expressed simply by choosing the right paper with the right font and just the right wording.
