I recently saw this technique for the first time and wanted to try it for my self.
The first card was made by layering three pieces of cardstock down and then stamping, embossing it and then added a matt layer. It really is a very pretty effect. Which got me thinking……..
So for the second card I layered the cardstock but only embossed it. I then inked the embossed areas and once again added a matt layer.
This folded rustic invitation fits into a c6 envelope and is held together with bakers twine. Hidden between the folds are a wishing well card along with an envelope for the tear off R.S.V.P card, with room for other inclusions. The envelopes feature a subtle touch of colour with the bunting. The save the date card and menu also feature the bunting design.
The design of this invitation came about from a photo of a cake my bride fell in love with. She wanted something that would reflect the theme of the cake.
She wanted something mainly Red but also including the black and white. The belly band with the pearl accent gives it a funky modern feel. Embossing to the side of the invitation and flap of the envelope tie’s the theme together nicely to create a wow factor. A Triangle shaped menu and place card with embossing and pearl accents were chosen for the tables.
I’m working on something right now that I’m very much enjoying. However as they haven’t been posted out yet I can’t really say what, why, how or who!
