I made this sweet little card, for my grand-daughter who likes purple and hearts, using the Elizabeth Craft Designs die Heart Pivot by Karen Burniston and Agatha Edges die. I used paper from K&CoMPANY Jubilee 12×12 pad. Love this pad!
This is an invitation that I designed for my friend Kristie’s daughter. She wanted something to reflect her lace dress with swirls and pearls. The belly band was embossed with a Mr & Mrs embossing folder and the inserts and invitation also were embossed. Pearls were added to the invitation and belly band. The jacket provided a place to hold every thing together including a photo of the Bride & Groom.
Originally Kristie was going to make them herself. My husband and I were in the states in February for our Daughters marriage and I helped Kristie get every thing she needed to make these, assuring her that she could do this herself with my help via Facetime and me having the typesetting set up for her. What was I thinking???? When I realised she was making 600 invitations! That is a huge task even for me who is very experienced. So my lovely husband suggested I fly over and help get them made. In the end I was there for 8 weeks and my poor husband regretted suggesting it! I admit that it was a little long…….. in my defence my reasoning was sound, make the invitations, spend some time with my daughter, go to the wedding, celebrate my grand daughters birthday and celebrate Kristie and my birthday (same day) In the end we made over 600 invitations! The whole family helped and it was lots of fun! I have a little video of Kristie’s boys using the cuttlebug, it was hilarious, unfortunately I can’t up load it on this version of wordpress.
Kirsty wanted the features of a pocket fold invitation but as her sister’s wedding invitation was a pocket fold she wanted to have something completely different. It was important to include information such as accommodations, directions and a wishing well along with providing a response card and envelope. This cheque book style invitation allows room for many pages and the back cover holds the response card and return envelope. The directions page also includes perforation. A lovely combination of lace, ribbon and embossing.
Chelsea wanted a red, black and white theme for her invitations and choose White for her Invitation along with White inclusions featuring embossing with the added touch of pearls and tied together with a black Satin ribbon. I’ve taken this standard pocket folder and tweaked it a little by adding some embossing to the front flap giving it a more elegant look.
